Born and raised in Marin County, Jonathan Korty has been fishing the waters of the North Bay Area for 40 yrs. Korty’s Fish Camp was a natural outgrowth of his fishing experiences with his three children and their friends. This camp is an introduction to fishing for boys & girls ages 6-18. Poles, tackle and bait will be supplied as we target saltwater fish such as the leopard shark, bat ray, surf perch, striped bass and halibut as well as freshwater species such as largemouth / smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, crawfish, bluegill, catfish and crappie. Days/evenings will be spent at such beautiful locations as Bon Tempe lake (Fairfax), Bolinas lagoon inlet, Phoenix Lake (Ross), Stinson Beach State Park and more. Fishing gives children self- esteem and much needed outdoor time away from screens. We hope to instill a love of the outdoors that will last a lifetime. 2024 marks the 5th year of Korty’s Fish Camp.

This year we will be offering:

SPRING after school - March 11 - June 14 - 330-730pm most weekdays - single day sign ups (8 kids per day) Ages 6+ $80 per

SUMMER full day/full week (11 weeks total) June 17 - Aug 30 - 13 kids per week (5 waitlist spots per week) Ages 6+ $650 per

FALL after school - Sept 3 - Oct 30 - 330-730pm most weekdays - single day sign ups (8 kids per day) - ages 6+ $80 per

CAMPOUT trips (4) - 2 weekends in May (May 10-12 + May 17-19 and 2 weekends in Sept (Sept 10-12 and Sept 17-19) (Fri 1pm depart / Sun 8pm return) Lake Siskiyou - Lake Tulloch - Lake Almanor final locations TBD - ages 9+ - pontoon boat/shore fishing - We supply all gear/bait/tackle/food. 12 kids + Korty + 2 assistants - (5 waitlist spots) $650 per
