About Korty

Born and raised in Marin County, Jonathan Korty has been fishing the waters of the North Bay for over 45 years. Korty’s Fish Camp began during the COVID shutdown and was a natural outgrowth of his fishing experiences with his three children and their friends.

About Korty's Fish Camp

Korty’s Fish Camp, now in it’s 7th sold out year, was voted “Best Children’s Camp” by the 2023 Pacific Sun Magazine’s Reader’s Poll and has quickly become a Marin County institution. We provide transportation to such beautiful locations as Bolinas Lagoon, Stinson Beach, Bon Tempe Lake, Tomales Bay and feature Charter Boat days during our summer program on The Salty Lady out of Sausalito.

We provide all fishing equipment, tackle/bait and target saltwater + freshwater fish, including leopard sharks, bat rays, striped bass, surf perch, halibut, largemouth/smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, bluegill and more. Most freshwater fishing is “catch & release” but our saltwater fishing can often provide a tasty dinner.

Our camp is designed to promote self-esteem, confidence, and camaraderie as children connect with each other and the great outdoors giving them much needed time off screens.

Meet the Fishcamp Team - Jake

Jake, age 27, has worked on commercial fishing boats in Alaska and in Bolinas and is great with kids. Born and raised in Bolinas he knows West Marin well and his dog Koa quickly became the fish camp mascot!

Korty's Fish Camp is proud to employ an ever-growing team of alumni, all of whom have been part of our Fish Camp family for years.

Voted Best Kid's Camp!

Korty's Fish Camp was voted Best Kid's Summer Camp in 2023 by the prestigious Pacific Sun Voter's Choice Awards!
